Between Germany and Japan
Japan 2009 – Day 1
Here are nearly all photos, which were taken on my first day of my Japan Spring Trip in 2009.
Of course the first thing I did, was visiting Ueno Koen (the Ueno Park) to see the beautiful Sakura trees there. After that I made a nice walk trough sunny Akihabara until I reached Akihabara Station and took the train to Suidobashi from where I walked to the Tokyo Dome. What can I say – The game between the Tokyo Yomiuri Giants and the Hiroshima Toyo Carp was a blast! But see for yourself.

Sadly I don’t have pictures to share from these two days. I just had fun with my friends, walked around town to do some shopping, had a nice but hard drinking party at a bar and so on. All in all, my spring trip to Japan in 2009 was the best trip of my life More >

The Otaku in me fought back and so I went to Harajuku and Akihabara once more. Nice weather, the Tokyo Earth Day which took place and many maids made it a worth day.

Not much to see hear. A shop in Akihabara where I bought my Advent Children Complete Blu-ray that day, the statue of Saigo-Takamori at the Ueno-Koen and my Onsen-Ryokan at Hakone. As I was chilling in the Onsen all day long, only a few pictures were taken.

On my way back to Tokyo I made a stop in Hemeji in order to see the most beautiful castle in Japan. Unlike many other Japanese castles, Himeji Castle was never destroyed in wars, earthquakes or fires and survives in its original form. Back in Tokyo it was quite late and so I decided to More >
